About Me

Born and raised on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the ocean has always been the captain of my heart. From an early age I became fascinated with the shifting facets of the sea and it’s ability to maintain order within chaos. Often, the temporality portrayed within the shifting tides of the ocean is reflected within my art. When I sit down to create, my goal is to achieve the energy of place and time and provide a pathway to self-interpretation and understanding that differs with each human experience. Although not all of my pieces incorporate an ocean or waves, I hope that I’m able to provide the same sense of renewal through colors and energy that salt water provides for me.
